PASADENA, California – Bolton & Company, one of the nation’s largest employee-owned insurance brokers, recently delivered a large collection of school supplies to the YMCA of Orange County in support of its third annual backpack drive. Bolton’s contribution benefits a larger, region-wide effort that aims to provide classroom necessities to hundreds of elementary students in need within Orange County and the San Gabriel Valley.
Numerous Bolton employees participated in the drive, and their donations filled over 75 backpacks with much-needed supplies that will help young learners succeed in the classroom. Senior Vice President Jeannie DeLaura, who specializes in nonprofit organizations, spearheaded the effort.
“It’s really exciting to connect with such a wonderful cause,” said DeLaura. “Bolton strongly supports education and outreach, and this drive provides a great opportunity to extend our dedication to both of these ideas. It’s also incredibly touching to know our efforts will help send students into the school year with everything they need to succeed.”
The collaboration with the YMCA of Orange County continues Bolton’s long history of partnering with nonprofit organizations in California. To date, Bolton supports more than 200 nonprofit organizations, and encourages its employees to give back to the community.
