Ron is Chairman of the Board of Bolton and is responsible for setting and overseeing the company’s strategic growth and expansion. He has more than 35 years of industry experience, specializing in risks associated with aviation, education, health care, manufacturing, real estate and technology. Ron has served on agency advisory councils for ACE, AIG, Berkshire Hathaway, Hanover, Hartford, Royal/Sunalliance, St. Paul/Travelers and United Educators Insurance Company. He has been a frequent speaker on a variety of insurance topics including enterprise risk management (ERM), intellectual property insurance, employee benefits and retirement plans and the Affordable Care Act (ACA). Organizations presented to include the Beverly Hills Bar Association, the American Conference Institute on Intellectual Property Insurance, Venture Net Conference, National Association of Independent Schools, California Association of Independent Schools and the National Business Officers Association (NBOA), among others. Ron is a past president of the Independent Insurance Agents Association, Santa Monica, past chairman of the Pacific Network Group (PNG), and has served on the boards of Assurex Global, a worldwide network of leading independent brokers, and the National Alliance Research Academy, a leading provider of education to the insurance industry. Ron received his B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley and did his graduate work at Hastings College of the Law in San Francisco. He holds Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and Certified School Risk Manager (CSRM) designations and has served as a national faculty member for the National Alliance for Education. Ron has been active in a variety of civic activities and is a Trustee Emeritus of The Buckley School, past chairman of the American Red Cross (West District, Los Angeles), past president of the Westwood Village Rotary Club, and has served various organizations and boards including the YMCA, MOCA, Hollygrove Orphanage and the Center for Reflective Parenting.

Born and raised in Southern California, Steve graduated from the University of California at Santa Barbara with a double major in Business Economics and Political Science. During his collegiate time at UCSB, Steve was a scholarship member of the Men’s Basketball Team and served as President of his Fraternity.

He began his career as a direct sales representative with Wausau Insurance Company before joining Bolton in 1990.

Steve has served on the Board of Governors of the Western Association of Insurance Brokers, the Board of Directors of the IBA West, and the Board of Directors of the IBA West Service Corporation, including a three-year service as Chairman of the Board of the IBA West Service Corporation and Chairman of the IBA West Strategic Planning Committee.

He has also been honored to have served on the Board of Directors as well as Past Chairman of the Council of Insurance Agents and Brokers (CIAB) which represents the nation’s largest brokers in both national and international affairs.  Steve has also served on numerous insurance company advisory councils on both a local and national basis.

He has earned designations as an Associate of Risk Management (ARM) and a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC).  Steve has been with Bolton for over 30 years, and as part of IMA Steve is a large shareholder, a member of the Board of Directors, and President of the firm’s California operations.

Other involvements include past member of the Pasadena Tournament of Roses Association, an active member and Past Chairman of the San Gabriel Valley Chapter of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO), and a Member of the Board of Directors and Past Chairman of AbilityFirst.

Steve currently resides in Arcadia, CA. with his wife Mary and has three children, Tommy (30), Clay (27) and Will (24).

Mike grew up in Texas and graduated from the University of Texas in 1986 with a major in Economics and a minor in Accounting. While at Texas, Mike served in multiple positions in the Alpha Nu chapter of Sigma Chi. With over 25 years of experience in the insurance industry, Mike has had management responsibilities in underwriting, marketing, and sales with both carriers and agencies. He joined Bolton & Company in 2001 where his focus is on the growth of the firm’s recognition as one of the leading privately held insurance brokerages in Southern California, as well as overseeing the day to day operations. Mike’s involvement extends beyond his own firm where he sits on the Advisory Board for multiple National Property Casualty and Health Insurance Carriers. On the personal side, Mike lives in Glendora with his wife, Sharon and three kids, Chris, Kevin and Kate. He has been committed to community by serving on the board of the Foundation for Glendora Unified Schools, the Finance Committee of Citrus Valley Healthcare Partners. He also serves on the Azusa Pacific University School of Business Advisory Board and mentors students in the Business School.

Jason started his insurance career in 1987 with RGV Insurance Agency, which merged with Bolton in 1994. He was a team leader in the Property & Casualty department before transitioning to lead the IT team in 1999 to present. He was awarded Outstanding Customer Service Representative of California in 1998 by The National Alliance For Insurance Education & Research. As an IT department head, he successfully managed major IT system migrations and physical moves to two different Pasadena locations. As Bolton expanded and added branch offices, he also managed the system installation to integrate the offices to the main headquarters. He is actively involved in the Assurex Global IT Group and has chaired three of the annual conferences around the country. He pursued his undergraduate studies in De La Salle University in Manila and earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from University of Phoenix.

As Director of Organizational Development, Barbara leads in the planning and implementation of internal advancements that support Bolton’s underlying goals and objectives. The leader and founder of Bolton’s internal Strategic People Team, Barbara is focused on the strategic development of our employees, preparing them for future roles and leadership opportunities. With more than 25 years of commercial insurance and management experience, Barbara holds professional designations of Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and Associate in Risk Management (ARM). Additionally, she holds mentorship and coaching certifications in the Process Communication Model, a behavioral communication method developed by Dr. Taibi Kahler. She is also member of the American Society of Safety Engineers, National Notary Association, California Workers’ Compensation Coalition Association, and University Risk Management and Insurance Association.

With close to a decade of industry experience, Jessica is both the Manager of and a producer with Bolton’s Personal Risk Management Department. Jessica works with our internal departments and insurance carriers to address the risk management challenges of our high-net-worth clients and to ensure that their personal assets are protected. Additionally, she is focused on developing the department and growing our personal risk management team to address the ever-evolving needs of Bolton’s clientele Prior to joining Bolton, Jessica was a Personal Lines Entertainment Account Manager with Arthur J. Gallagher. She also attended Chubb Personal Insurance (CPI) Advanced Producer School, a program designed for producers who seek to differentiate themselves in the personal lines market. Jessica holds the California Property Casualty Insurance License and is currently pursuing a Certified Personal Risk Manager (CPRM) designation. She holds a bachelor’s degree in communications and a minor in business from San Diego State University.

As Managing Director, Tom Polenzani works closely with Bolton’s team of Employee Benefits and Property & Casualty insurance specialists to develop and define Bolton’s immediate and long-term business and retention goals. In this role, Tom oversees the development, training and education of Bolton’s roster of insurance brokers to best serve the evolving needs of Bolton’s growing client base.

Previously, Tom managed Bolton’s Employee Benefits division. Prior to joining Bolton, he led his own firm, Polenzani Benefits, for over a decade. Tom holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Santa Clara University. When he’s not at Bolton, Tom and his wife are active coaching their two sons in soccer and track, and traveling with the family.

With more than 20 years of industry experience, Erin leads Bolton’s Property & Casualty efforts company-wide through its Pasadena headquarters and satellite offices in Santa Clara and Orange County. Erin manages Bolton’s P&C service teams, including small business and claims, while developing new business and expanding the organization’s exclusive programs and offerings. Additionally, she looks to further develop carrier relationships and find new ways to collaborate with Bolton’s key markets. Prior to joining Bolton, Erin was Senior Vice President with Orion Risk Management. In roles prior, she was Senior Vice President and Property & Casualty Practice Leader with Lemme, a division of Integro USA, and Vice President, Unit Manager with Lockton Companies and co-led the Law Firm Practice Group. Erin has been involved in various Women in Leadership organizations, including being one of the co-founders of Lockton’s Southern California Women in Leadership chapter.  Erin also managed and mentored the Associate Account Manager/Future Leaders Program for the firm. Erin graduated from the University of San Francisco with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication with a focus in Business Law.

Jacqueline Roth oversees Bolton’s Employee Benefits division. She works closely with Bolton’s Employee Benefits brokers and service teams to ensure service consistency and develop insurance solutions for emerging industry challenges. With close to a decade of experience as an Employee Benefits Broker with Bolton, Jacqueline leads with a client-first focus in evolving Bolton’s Employee Benefits service strategy and approach.

Jacqueline is active within the insurance industry and currently serves on a district board for Professionals in Human Resources Association and is involved with the Society of Human Resources Management. Jacqueline holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication from Azusa Pacific University, and regularly fundraises for APU’s East Africa Scholarship Fund.

Hector became a member of the Bolton team in July 2008 and has close to a decade of industry experience. In 2012, Hector joined the newly-formed Bolton Business Solutions team. Hector’s primary duties include creating client expense allocation reports, managing client service plans, and developing strong working relationships with our vendors. Hector also consistently researches and meets with new, potential vendors to ensure their compatibility with Bolton’s values and goals. Hector has worked with sales and service teams to maintain high levels of client retention and has become an integral part of the key service team for small, mid-market, and large national clients. In May 2005, Hector graduated from the California State University of Fullerton with a B.S. in Business Management.

Andrew has engaged, supported, and advised HR executives for over fifteen years, and has extensive experience in organizational development, business development and employee benefits consulting. As an Executive Vice President at Bolton, he provides strategic guidance in all stages of benefits program development, including research, plan design and implementation. Andrew sees that both he and his team proactively address clients’ evolving needs. Andrew was awarded Top Producer and received the Dorance D. Bolton Award. Currently, he is serving as President of the National Human Resources Association, Los Angeles Affiliate, and is also President of the Visionary Executive Network, a group aimed at building and supporting the executive community. Andrew graduated from the University of Redlands with a Bachelor of Arts degree and lives with his wife Monique in Surfside, CA.

Rob consults with for-profit and nonprofit businesses on ways to build benefit programs that are cost effective, and increase overall employee satisfaction. He helps clients to understand the latest industry trends in health care, compliance, and HR technology systems. He is also a true collaborator who believes in making work fun. Rob leverages his background in teaching, marketing and client service to provide meaningful experiences for his clients. He is also an experienced speaker and writer on topics related to business strategy, benefits, ACA compliance, and organizational behavior. Rob was promoted to Executive Vice President and became a shareholder with Bolton in 2016. Rob is currently on the board for PIHRA (Professionals in Human Resources Association) and also Mountainside Communion as a liaison between the church and the Immigration Resource Center of SGV. He holds a Masters in Business Administration from Pepperdine’s Graziadio School of Business Management, and a Bachelor’s degree in Theology and Spanish from Azusa Pacific University.

Brandon Burroughs is an active advocate for his clients, seeking the best resources and solutions that will help move their businesses forward and allow them to focus their time and energy on their business objectives and goals. Brandon launched his pursuit in the employee benefits industry in 2011 working exclusively in managing self-funded clients through monthly claims data analysis, reporting, and meeting with HR and CFO contacts to explain intricacies of claims experience, actuarial calculations, and projected renewal impacts. Working with mid-size and large employers headquartered across the country in various industries, Brandon has traveled to company sites nationwide for renewal meetings, claims-experience and benchmarking presentations, wellness screenings, and employee enrollment meetings. Most recently, Brandon and his wife spent two years teaching at an international school in Caracas, Venezuela where he learned Spanish and taught a variety of math, science, social studies, and religion courses with students ranging from 6th-12th grade. Brandon has a love and appreciation for global awareness and travel that began when he worked as CFO and HR of a boutique hotel in the Himalayan Kingdom of Bhutan for one year immediately following his graduation from his undergraduate studies at Azusa Pacific University. Brandon later returned to Azusa Pacific University to obtain his MBA. In addition to group insurance, Brandon previously provided 401(k) advisory services to mid-size and large employers while holding his Series 6 and 63 securities licenses.

Michelle Cammayo has more than 13 years of Employee Benefits experience specializing in all lines of health and welfare benefits, including medical, dental, vision, basic and voluntary life, short and long-term disability and employee assistance programs. Her passion for learning and knowledge has driven Michelle to become an expert in the industry.  Her scope of expertise is expansive as she began her career helping employers manage their employee benefits program where she led renewal negotiations, implemented alternative funding arrangements and conducted open enrollment meetings. Her background and passion for knowledge evolved into a natural shift for Michelle where she works closely with clients and partners to provide guidance in areas of the law including ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA and PPACA.  She also oversees our Compliance Department at Bolton to ensure we are helping our clients manage and eliminate risk with regards to employee benefit compliance.  On a daily basis, she can be found conducting annual compliance reviews with Bolton clients, answering compliance related questions, conducting training for our team members and HR personnel as well as keeping up to date with Federal and State regulation changes. Michelle has authored several employee benefit articles and conducted HRCI accredited seminars in her quest to educate others to empower them to make the best decision for their company.  She has given over 30 seminars and webinars on benefit-related topics ranging from compliance challenges to choosing the right consumer driven health plan.

Esther joined Bolton in 2010, and has been in the insurance industry since 1993. Previously, she had a successful career in real estate. Esther leads Bolton’s efforts to serve organizations with less than 50 employees, providing comprehensive solutions for property & casualty and employee benefits, and specializes in healthcare reform compliance. Esther is a member of the Santa Fe Springs Chamber of Commerce and the National Hispanic Business Women Association. She is also works with the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corporation (LAEDC). Esther is a Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR), a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), and is Covered California Certified. She is fully bilingual in English and Spanish.

Matt has over 10 years of experience in the Insurance industry. He has been with Bolton since 2004, and is a shareholder in the firm. He is passionate about protecting his clients, and providing excellent service so that they can focus on what they do best, running their businesses. Matt is the head of the Construction Practice Group, and also works in the Distribution, Manufacturing, and Non Profit sectors. He is the Alternative Risk / Captive Specialist for the agency. Matt is an endorsed broker for the California Plumbing Mechanical Contractors Association (CPMCA), National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA), and the Southern California Contractors Association (SCCA). For 10 consecutive years he has won the Bolton Eagle Award, which recognizes top brokers for superior work. Matt holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Santa Barbara.

Jeannie has been with Bolton since 2009. With a background in finance, she worked with Countrywide, Bank of America and GMAC for many years. At Bolton, Jeannie supports a variety of industries, including manufacturing, grocery stores, retail and nonprofits. She works closely with her clients to assist in effectively managing their risk exposures, and provides them with valuable resources including claims management, education, safety training and cost reduction. Jeannie attributes her success to a commitment to helping others succeed, and has a passion for giving back. She enjoys supporting organizations that help those in need and is a current board member of FOHA, on the membership committee of the SGVEP and a past board member with PIHRA. She volunteers her time and efforts to many nonprofits including Lincoln Training Center, Children’s Hunger Fund, The Bolton Foundation and local schools. Jeannie attended San Diego State University and has a degree in Business Administration.

Ryan joined Bolton in 2005, following a successful HR career in both the public and private sectors. He consults with finance and HR professionals to reduce the cost of health insurance, enhance benefits, and improve compliance. Ryan has been honored as Bolton’s top consultant for six of the past seven years. He was promoted to Executive Vice President in 2009, and became a shareholder in the firm in 2010. Ryan often speaks at industry events focused on health insurance and employee benefits, including the HR Star Conference, the California HR Conference (PIHRA), and others. He volunteers as Immediate Past Chair for the Professionals in Human Resources Association (PIHRA) in the Pasadena/San Gabriel Valley region. In 2007, he was presented with PIHRA’s “Outstanding Volunteer-of-the-Year” award. Ryan holds a Master’s degree in Organizational Development and a Bachelor’s degree in Communication from Azusa Pacific University. He is recognized as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) by the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM).

Jamie joined Bolton in 2014. As a leading producer in the Education Practice Group, Jamie carries the overall responsibility for insurance programs, risk management strategies, and service management for his clients. He handles all client meetings and presentations, oversees the insurance program and exposure analysis, and is responsible for providing insurance industry information updates, and long-term strategic planning for schools’ insurance and risk management programs. Working with a diverse group of clients, Jamie specializes in educational institutions, nonprofit and human service organizations, wholesalers, technology firms and real estate clients. Jamie earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, majoring in Finance, from the University of Colorado at Boulder. He received his Certified Schools Risk Manager (CSRM) and Accredited Advisor in Insurance (AAI) designations.

As Assistant Vice President, Edgar Garcia-Mora helps clients develop and deliver robust employee benefits programs that align company culture with organizational needs and cost objectives. With close to a decade of insurance industry experience, Edgar helps guide his clients through all stages of building the right employee benefits package to ensure the growth and success of their business.   Edgar has been active in the insurance industry since 2008. Prior to joining Bolton, he worked across several market segments—including small group/key accounts, large group and national accounts—with Anthem, Inc. He joined Bolton as a Junior Account Manager and advanced to Account Manager and then Senior Account Manager before transitioning into the Employer Benefits Broker/Consultant role. Edgar graduated from California State University, Los Angeles, with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus in Business Law and a minor in Economics.

As Vice President, Guillermo has a passion for implementing integrated business resource solutions for mid to large organizations and is dedicated to helping employers define company culture through custom employee benefit offerings that save the employer money and cut down on out of pocket expenses for employees. He explores partnership opportunities by building his network with CEOs, COOs, CHROs and CFOs to analyze their current benefit programs, identify cost saving solutions and recommend cost saving alternatives for both employer and employee. His goal is to collaborate with his clients as their business partner, designing unique service models based on each client’s individual needs.

Guillermo brings with him deep industry broker experience, including eight years at Arroyo Insurance Services, and going on 5 years at Bolton where he focuses on serving social service organizations as well as for profit industries. Along with his teams, he strives to implement innovative solutions in employee benefits programs, talent retention strategies, wellness initiatives and organizational development training that strengthen employer brands and deliver improved employee experiences. He holds multiple broker licenses, including Life, Accident, Health and Property & Casualty and is a Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Certified Professional (SHRM-CP). Guillermo is very involved in programming with the Community Clinic Association of Los Angeles County and is a member of Professionals In Human Resources Association (PIHRA) Long Beach Chapter. He enjoys connecting with his clients and industry associations outside of the scope of professional services and is regularly featured as a presenter for CFO, COO and HR Roundtables. In his personal time, he likes working on his new home in San Gabriel, walking his dogs, gardening and cooking with his fiancé Michelle.

John started his insurance career with Bolton in 2003 and became a shareholder of the firm in 2011. John’s goal is to protect clients from the risks inherent in owning and operating a business in California. John provides his clients with the risk management and insurance programs that best fit their needs, and has extensive knowledge of workers’ compensation insurance and claims management. He specializes in the rental industry where he currently consults for many of the top party and equipment rental companies in the nation. He also works with manufacturers and distributors, property owners, restaurants and alarm companies. John is involved with the Loyola High School Alumni Association and dedicates time to the Men’s Guild of Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. John was awarded a baseball scholarship and was part of the Honors Finance Program at St. Mary’s College of California. He graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Economics and a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration.

Prior to joining Bolton, Patrick worked as a consultant for Nestle USA, where he audited the HR, Safety and IT departments at several factories throughout the country and implemented numerous wellness incentives. In addition, he served as an analyst on Nestle’s Sales Finance team, recommending price points and strategies with divisional CFO’s on company products. Patrick was born and raised in Arcadia, California and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from The University of Arizona’s Eller College of Management. He has been in the insurance industry for over 19 years, and holds the following designations: CIC (Certified Insurance Counselor), CRM (Certified Risk Manager) and CRIS (Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist). Todd is passionate about helping clients to reduce their total cost of risk so that they can be more productive and profitable. He specializes in the construction, real estate, manufacturing, wholesale, and health care industries, and is active in the Los Angeles Chapter of NECA (National Electrical Contractors Association) as a member, speaker and writer. Todd feels that it is important to make a positive impact within the insurance industry. He was President and CEO of Pacific General Insurance Services for 20 years before joining Bolton in January of 2012. Mike believes that he can provide superior service by bringing the full breadth of Bolton resources to each client relationship, both in property casualty and employee benefits. Brian Metcalfe is a seasoned insurance professional who has been with Bolton since 2001. Prior to joining Bolton, he was a real estate investment broker with Cushman & Wakefield, where he completed over $100 million in transactions. Brian devotes his insurance practice largely to real estate and development risk, and also has a significant group of larger nonprofit clients focused in child and family services. He is active in the Business Owners and Managers Association (BOMA). Brian is well versed in environmental exposures, layered property and liability programs, and earthquake insurance. He has completed an array of construction liability programs including condominium, apartment, medical facility, and school construction. Brian holds an MBA from the University of Connecticut and an additional graduate degree from the Ecole Superieure de Commerce de Lyon in France. He completed his Bachelor of Arts at Clark University in Massachusetts with concentrations in Economics and Real Estate.

David worked for several years at Merrill Lynch, where he progressed from Operations Controller in 1999 to become Operations Supervisor in 2001. In this capacity, he was responsible for the growth and development of the department, and was subsequently promoted to Director of Internal Audit Preparations. David is involved with BOMA Silicon Valley and currently serves on the board of directors for the Housing Industry Foundation. He is also involved with the San Jose Silicon Valley Chamber of Commerce, and served the City of Palo Alto as both Camp Coordinator and Special Events Coordinator. Driven by creativity, Rob constantly seeks innovative approaches to enhance benefits and engage employees in their health plans.  For example, he organizes Creative Fairs, designed to foster hobby development, overall well-being, and community building within the office. While attending University of Southern California to get his business marketing degree, Brad started his career in insurance with Lincoln National Life. In the late 70’s, he led the nation in small group sales for Mutual Benefit Life. In 1982, he established Bradley G. Reaume Insurance Services, and merged with Bolton & Company in 2012. He joined Bolton as Executive Vice President. With over 30 years experience in employee benefits, Brad’s mission is to provide clients with a full range of resources and services. He also helps clients to understand and implement the regulations and compliance requirements of the Affordable Care Act. Brad specializes in all lines of employee benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Long and Short-Term Disability, and 401(k) programs. Brad has volunteered his time and resources in support of Five Acres, an organization supporting vulnerable children and their families for over 20 years. He is currently the Secretary on the Board of Directors, Chairman of the Board of Affairs, and is on the HR Committee and the Golf Committee. He has over 30 of years of experience in international sales, marketing, public relations, and risk management, in both the private and public sectors. Previously, he was appointed by Governor Pete Wilson as Director of the California Trade & Commerce Agency in Mexico, where he spearheaded vital trade and investment opportunities to the mutual benefit of California and Mexico. At Bolton, R.C. has built a team of bilingual and bicultural insurance professionals that cater to Latino businesses. R.C. takes a “tropicalized” approach to his practice, bridging the business and cultural gaps between Latin America and the United States. R.C. studied at UCLA and holds an Honorary Doctorate in Humanities. He has been honored to receive multiple awards and recognitions throughout his career for his professional accomplishments and philanthropic participation.  He currently sits on the boards of the Los Angeles Latino Chamber of Commerce, Virtual Entrepreneur Network.
