Your Support. Our Impact.
The IMA Foundation is driven by our employees through internal fundraising campaigns and events. Contributions are provided through the year-round fundraising efforts of Bolton and its partners. This includes our signature “Throw Down” event, a cornhole bean bag toss tournament held at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena.
The Foundation’s mission is to empower those who serve others by providing grants to local nonprofit organizations that address community development, education, youth services, and multiculturalism within our local communities. This is a philosophy that resonates throughout the entire Bolton organization.
IMA Foundation Beacons
An IMA Foundation Beacon is a nonprofit organization that’s been selected for its outstanding philanthropic efforts within the communities where we work, live and grow. A Beacon leads by example and makes a considerable impact in the lives of many.
Congratulations to our 2023 IMA Foundation Beacons!

Grant Recipients
We will select four Beacons annually. Once appointed, we award a new Beacon with grant funding to further support their operational efforts. They join a growing list of organizations that serve as living extensions of The IMA Foundation’s underlying mission. Additionally, the IMA Foundation will arrange for an engagement opportunity in which our team will volunteer time to support a select Beacon’s efforts.
Beyond our Beacons, we provide additional grants throughout the year. Grant recipient organizations are selected based on their close alignment with grant funding priority areas as defined by the IMA Foundation, including education, youth services, community development and multiculturalism:
- Community Development: Revitalize and stabilize communities, empower workforce development, promote economic development and create and sustain affordable living.
- Education: Promote academic achievement and enhance programs and initiatives of local school districts.
- Youth Services: Support programs that provide healthcare, and opportunities for academic, social and emotional growth.
- Multiculturalism: Help multicultural and ethnic organizations gain equality and acceptance in our society, while increasing community awareness, engagement, and participation in diverse cultures and customs.
